Welcome to The Barking Gardener!

Thoughtfully curated products. A passion for pets and gardening. A commitment to community. Look for our pop-up shop at local events!

The Barking Gardener was created with a simple idea: build an online shopping experience that brings together quality products, thoughtful selections, and a genuine commitment to the communities we serve.

We're an independent retailer with a passion for discovering products that make life with our pets, in our gardens, and around our homes a little better.

We believe shopping should be personal, enjoyable, and purposeful.

What Makes Us Different

Curated with Care

We're selective about the products and brands we offer. Whenever possible, we prioritize products sourced or made in the USA and Canada, with an emphasis on quality, safety, and practical value.

Nutrition That Matters

We believe in making thoughtful choices about what we feed our pets. Our assortment emphasizes quality foods and treats, including natural, single-ingredient, and limited-ingredient options.

Enrichment, Play & Training

Happy pets need more than the essentials. We're always exploring innovative enrichment toys, training tools, and engaging products that encourage healthy activity, learning, and play—with safety at the forefront.

Supporting Our Community

Our connection to the pet community goes beyond retail. We're building relationships with all-breed kennel clubs, specialty breed clubs, and rescue organizations, creating opportunities to support their members and the communities they serve. As The Barking Gardener grows, we look forward to expanding these partnerships and introducing additional member benefits.

Shopping That Gives Back

Our Thrift Store offers a fun way to discover new and gently used treasures while making a difference. Through purchases and donated merchandise, a portion of Thrift Store sales helps support animal rescue organizations.

Help Us Grow!

This store is built with our community, not just for it.

Have a favorite product or brand you'd love to see us carry? Let us know! We're always interested in discovering great products and will explore sourcing them and keep you informed about potential availability.

We're excited to grow The Barking Gardener alongside the people, pets, and communities that inspire it.

Thank you for being part of our journey!
